Absolutely amazing.. I have never seen such speed from an at home build. I am utterly in awe at such skills.

How much HP did the car finally put down?

Great build! I was looking for an LS1 project to rebuild just to learn, what heads\cam do you plan to run on it? Also going to build the lower?

It put down 330hp 330 tq untuned. I'm not sure what heads/cam combo I'll run just yet. The bottom end can take some abuse so I dont plan on building it just yet.

Very impressive. Mechanically and electrically inclined. What's happening with the MR2?

You can sink $7000 to $10,000 into a swap like this.

So its been about 13 weeks since I cut myself building the Ls1 powered lexus. I've been building cars for about 8 years now and I've never really been hurt other then a little cut or busted knuckle. I made a bad call while bending the shifter after cutting a notch out of it. It was bending fine then it broke and well it wasnt a pretty sight but i had to throw a towel on it and keep building. It was just a couple days before i was set to leave for Houston.

Here is what it looks like today 13 weeks later. Yeah that is my wrist and I'm not emo .
