HP Gains from Midpipe + Intake on 350?
Anyone have documented HP gains on a IS350 with.....
Invidia / Megan midpipes and a Joe-Z intake?
I am looking at running the stock canisters for a while to keep it quiet.
Or, would i have more gains with a axel back and factory mid pipes?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again!

I've yet to see anybody pick up more than 1-2 rwhp with a midpipe
Joe Z is the best bang/buck for hp for any mod you mention, by far.
After that I'd look for a used tanabe for $400ish if you want to keep the car relatively quiet, you can figure on about 7 rwhp there

yeah they may only net 3 whp but DAMN it sounds sexy!!! I've had SO many ameican muscle guys compliment the sound of my exhaust more than any other car I've owned. I gotta say, I agree with them!!
Although, the G certainly has the STOCK exhaust sound every sports sedan aspires to be.

that member is Phil888, and i think you might be referring to this post.
that's a difference of 20hp between two dyno's, NOT an increase of 20hp for bolt-on parts. he had an explanation here from his first dyno run:
aside from the point that "reading is fundamental", i again would like to point you to the fact that the difference is from two separate dyno runs on two different dyno's, since the numbers from his first dyno run was not quite what he expected. the difference was NOT because of performance upgrades between the two dyno runs.
now that we've got THAT out of the way, i still question whether aftermarket mid-pipes make more noise than power, but four_o_two might be on to something...
kk, the DYNO i used were basically for European Cars, so they couldnt do the calculations! This Dyno read it 252 whp, i know its low lolz.. So the following week i went to SP Engineering and had a different DYNO done and it read 272 whp.. I was happy with the numbers, and their just for my personal reference, so when i decide to upgrade later on I'll go back to SP Engineering to see better results using the same DYNO.
haha I do have the numbers but dont wanna show it yet until i get another dyno thats more accurate. And the other reason i dont wanna show the numbers cause i wanna try it on a different Dyno and then show you guys how different dyno's show different numbers and allow others and myself what different Dyno's can do.
