I still won't hold my breath for at least a week...problem could come back and it could be purely coincidental that it "fixed" itself at the same time I seafoamed it. Knowing my luck this is just the calm before the storm. Engine will probably blow up in my face next week! So far this car has been about as reliable as a plastic steak knife and requires about 10x the general maintenance as my other vehicles have.

Well I changed the oil control valve and changed the sparkplug with original Denso and ordered the OCV filter. I also got the codes erased, I drove it about 20 miles back home and no check engine light drove smooth I'll keep posting

well...i'd imagine the only real way to do so would be to get a known good gs400, and test the voltage/resistance outputs of each sensor with a multimeter, then test them on yours to look for any variation.
My best advice would be to just swap it out. Since you're getting VVTi codes, my guess is cam sensor. However, given that the crankshaft also has something to do with timing, if the cam sensor doesn't fix it that would be my next guess. Outside of those 2 sensors, I cant think of anything else but an ECU.

OCV - 1349 Code
I thought I would share my story, as this site has helped me tremendously during my 1394 issue...
1998 GS400 (170k miles)
After having my CEL and VSC/VSC OFF lights come, I took the car into my mechanic. He stated that 1394 code came up, and I would eventually learn the others (P0300, P0301, P0303, P0305, P0307) too. All of these codes point to Bank 1 (drivers side). Due to it having to do with the VVTi, they recommend I take it to Lexus. After a week of research (This site rocks!!) on various boards, I basically came to the conclusion that it was OCV. Initially, i looked to pull the OCV myself (which is quick simple actually). However, I chose to take it back to the shop (self admitted novice wrench) and I have a multi year trust relationship with them. So I went back to them and told them i wanted them to replace the drivers side (Bank 1) OCV. BINGO!
It has only been 1 day, but my baby is purring like a kitten again. Purrrrrr...
I hope this helps someone...
