Greddy owners pls chime in
hey all i was about to pull the trigger on a new exhaust set up was leaning towards the Greddy SE and the hi power... i know how the hi power sounds...
but does anyone with a greddy se have a clear sound clip of it? or can anyone describe the sound well the best they can i guess , of course itll sound diff in person..i jus wanted to do some reserch before i pulled the trigger...
is it a deep throaty sound??? and is it considerably louder then the tanabe or fsport.. ?
looking for something as loud or a little less then the hks hi powers
thanks!

the greddy se is one of the exhaust systems thats more on the quiet side. i have a friend with the f-sport and a friend with the tanabe and they are both louder than the se. it sounds low and grumbly, you can barely hear it at idle. when you're on the road you'll hear it anywhere up to 3k and once you past 3k it'll be a good combination of both your exhaust and your engine that you'll be hearing in your cabin. once your cars warmed up the exhaust is distinguishable and you'll hear it in the cabin. but its not enough to attract cops or anything

Honestly I haven't even bothered to listen to sound clips of any other exhaust besides the Greddy. The looks won me over the first time I saw it haha. It does sound very quite though with the few sound clips I've heard.

You can only really hear the engine in this video, we need someone to do a ricer flyby video with a SE.

Now to add some HKS input here. Out of the box it roars but, It can get ALOT quieter with the silencers installed. Its almost night and day back to just over stock inside the car and slightly different outside the car. So you can get a couple different tones from it, depending on preference. With the other exhausts you are more limited to one type of tone. So many good choices out there. This is why I installed my HKS, but also spent the rent money on the F-sport just incase..Shhhhhhh don't tell the gf.. LOL

I have owned the Tanabe, and GReddy SP2, and now the GReddy SE. The SE is the successor of the SP2, it's the EXACT same system, just with a new tip design.
For a fact the GReddy is deeper and louder then the Tanabe's. Period. I set off more alarm warnings with my GReddy's then the Tanabe's. The Tanabe's drone on the freeway and is more quiet city driving. The GReddy is just DEEP. I LOVE it. It just growls.
It's really up to YOU what kind of noise you want. The HKS Hi Power is the loudest, GReddy, F-Sport (HKS), last Tanabe.
The GReddy is 'just' right.

I have Greddy SE on my 06 IS250 and I love them! They are deep and growl but are not too loud. I don't think loud and Lexus go together. To me the HKS hi power is to "ricey" for a Lexus. I don't think you will be dissatisfied if you get them. I get nothing but compliments on mine...
