Doug and his supercharger had the same noise problem with the blowout valve/. He then changed his blowout valve to something else. It started with a S. I need to find the name.
i'm amazed it was done in 10 hours spread over 2 days. very well done, especially since it's documented for everyone to see.
considering how much power was produced by other supercharger kits, i would be cautious to see how much additional power this one-off (for now?) produces. imo, all bets are off until it gets on a dyno.
this definitely gives 2is owners a glimmer of hope for forced induction.
btw, what about the maintenance of this type of supercharger? i've heard that the LMS kit requires re-building every 5,000 miles. would this be true of this type of supercharger being used in this SEMA car?

Believe he used a synchronic one or something but before he had a hks bov which gave him compression surge but the sound on foxmarketings IS doesn't sound like it's surging...just fluttering which I believe is normal

nah, that's not the name...it's been bothering me all night.
The sound is not bad, but i think with the BOV doug had i think it will sound much better!

yup i doubt it will be making much, because of no tune, and just bolted on self contained procharger and fmic, and piping, pretty ez to setup if your a professional. But still! he said the price is going to be very reasonable so for the extra power i'd be willing to fork out some reasonable cash

Call me crazy but depending on the price I may look into this as well. I know I have a 250 and people say upgrade to a 350 but I've had the car since 06 and I dont feel like upgrading to an 09 and they only have 2 350's in red in my area.

Thanks for the compliment dude as for maintenance though, the C-2 Supercharger Unit does not need to be rebuilt every 5000 miles!

Well, since its the same motor 4GR-FSE. I am assuming it will fit. Being that I live in the South East I have never worked on or been under a 250.
I know when Mazzuri made headers he had to make different one's due to space issues on the 250AWD... I would love to get under one and boost it.
IMHO a 2IS that is AWD on BOOST + Headers + Cat Back Exhaust = WINNER!

I own a 250.. and I will NEVER trade it in for a 350 just to get 100 more. I would rather boost it and work my butt off to make it "faster" simply because I find these kind's of things to be amusing.
Anyone can go trade in their car and pick up an IS350... but since when is the easy way out a fun thing ?
Keep your 250... Unless you're going to get an IS-F, that is a different ball park!

A stock IS250 puts out about ~160 WHP. With intake it push out 167.
A IS350 pushes out 268 WHP stock (http://www.dragtimes.com/Lexus-IS350-Timeslip-9160.html). That mean a IS250 needs 100 WHP just to keep up with a stock IS350. You put in all that work just to "keep up with a STOCK IS350". Wouldn't it be a smarter move to just get a IS350 to begin with? Which has manufacture warranty also.
Btw, wouldn't it be funner boosting a IS350? Just a thought?
