you have an auto, right?

It has something to do with the torque converter, or so ive heard.
I posted this a long time ago on my.is (back when it was is300.net).

Apparently, when you are flooring it, the torque converter is like "Ok, give it some gas... give it some gas.. little more, little more...." and then it realizes that you are gonna floor it all the way to red line and is like "OK, time to open up all the way..."

I know thats a horrible way of explaining it, but thats just how it is. It can also depend on what mph/speed you are going whether or not you run into that "bog" or not. Sometimes you will hit it... sometimes not.

I know its annoying.. thats just how it is though...


by the way, were you wearing your seat belt?
