I paid $417 and change through m1 autobody. You're looking at like $420ish.

You can do either. Vendor is probably easier.

Just make sure you call the vendor first.

the megan midpipe is the same pipe as the full megan catback
(please correct me if I'm wrong)

I haven't seen anyone with megan plus stock exhaust set up
but I'm pretty sure it would make your car little louder and deepr in the low end

Nah there are 2 set so cats on the IS. that only takes off the mid section. You wont smell the difference. Its the oil on the new pipe that needs to burn off. It will over time

Does this cause a check engine light? Also, will I pass inspection/emissions?

Also, following installation, would I be able to fit the stock equipment in my trunk? Or would I be S.O.L.?

Has anyone bought one of these recently? If so who did you buy from? I PM'd a couple of vendor sponsors for a quote and didn't get any answers. My Tanabe is just a bit too quiet for my taste and CaymanDiver's videos sound like what I want.

Heh I bet. I found it all over, I just like buying from someone that someone from the forum had a recent good experience. Otherwise its a crap shoot I guess.
