My BFI build, SC400
I searched around and havent found a thread that really shows what people are doing for the BFI. So heres my build. Would have been done today but ran out of light.
Heres a pic of everything stock.
Heres where the first nuts and bolts need to come off. There are 4 nuts at the MAF and two bolts on the air box. All 10mm.
There are three bolts that hold on the intake spout. One just to the side of the airbox. There is one behind the high beam. If you havent removed all of the plastic from behind the bumper you might have to move it out of the way first. The one under the headlight is kind of trickey to get to. You have to take out 7 screws from under the bumper and remove the front of the fenderwell to get to the bolt. Once moved its still kind of hard to unscrew it.
Once all of the bolts are removed put the fenderwell and the plastic in the bumper.
The airbox should come right out. Be carefull, there is a rubber seal between the MAF and the airbox. After that with a little tug the intake spout will come out too. It might take a little twisting but pull it back towars the MAF.
When done it should look like this.
And hers the airbox.

Next is making the hole in the airbox. Im going to box off the intake area. You dont have to do this but I think its a cleaner look. It should be done tommrow. You will need basic tools and some way to cut open your hole in your airbox. Im doing this with a 0 budget. Everything im doing here cost me nothing but time. It should be done this time tommrow so as soon as I get done it will be posted.

I left my camera at the shop. Ill try to pick it up tommorw and load the rest of the pics. IDK how much of a diffrence it actually made, but when I really get on it you can hear a big diffrence from the intake. Im guessing from all the extra air.

Ive been to the shop about 3 times in the last few days, even today. Really need to get my camera back so I can upload the pics. It makes a noticeable diffrence. At WOT you can hear a huge diffrence in the ammount of air that is being sucked in. I might try to make a way to funnle the air up from under the headlight. There is a nice hole... just need a few hours to fab something up.

OK, I remembered to pick up my camera and upload the finished pics. Its not as nice as scotts was but it makes a world of diffrence. The ammount of air getting sucked in is amazing. I wouldnt have thought it would make that big of a diffrence.
