$72 of muffler baffling FTW. If I get it, looks like I'll be installing the silencers before I install the exhaust. I got under the car yesterday....is it really as easy as it looks? 6 hangers and 6 bolts?

hey i totally agree w/ you man! I cant stand those super loud harleys that shake the windows of my car when they cruise by

I often wonder why those Harleys don't seem to be in trouble with that ridiculous noise. I mean every single Harley I see around here is very noisy. Incidently, in all the driving I do, I don't recall seeing a single Harley being pulled over.

I believe any modifications other then from factory is illegal, cops just dont really enforce it. I could be wrong.

My ex used to own 2 Harleys and got harrassed ALL the time by cops. I wish cops would stop bugging people about window tint and exhaust noise and go spend their time hunting down murderers and rapists. Just my 2 cents.


With that said, I love love love my HKS.

Im' glad this post is here, has anyone had any issues with getting their car smogged with the HKS exhaust on? I was planning on taking it off and putting the stockers back on but so dont want to through all that if I dont have to.

Reviving an old thread. I've almost got enough saved up for an HKS exhaust but I still have yet to find a definite answer on whether it passes the CA decibel test. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
