This like the "Pavlov" experiment, we are so trained by years of owning cars that have wheezed-out intake tracts, and too little filter area. Then a car comes along that is pretty well squared away from the factory, and what do we do? We mess with it anyways, as would I more than likely...

Hey CL IS Owners,

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

I recently installed a JoeZ intake with a AFE Pro Dry S filter into my IS250.

I was contemplating of ordering a F-Sport Box but then I saw this.

Will cutting out holes on the Stock airbox give me the same results? or will I have to flatten out the bottom as well?

I actually have the same set up as you . I cut the oem box and very happy with it. I did it the same way he did it at the beginning of the thread. Nice growl.
