With NOS all of you gains will be in 1st through 3rd gears. If you can hook up and spray above 3k rpm then you can greatly reduce your 60' times (another example) My old (rip) turbo IS300, before I sprayed I was 1.899 60' times. I then added NOS 75 shot and was hitting 1.4 -1.6 60' foot times all day. This is where you'll see the gains in the 1/4 mile.
With NOS you still have to subtract drive line loss. So a 100 shot with 30% drive line loss would = 70 hp (example). To see 30 hp and 0.2 sec would be @ 55 shot.
There's no way that our cars have anywhere close to 30% drivetrain loss. Even when my car was stock, it was dyno'ing over 270 rwhp. It also seems like drivetrain loss would be more of a straight up torque reduction, not a percentage HP reduction.

Huh? How can you say that all the gains would be in 1st through 3rd? It would absolutely gain power in whatever gear that you use it. That extra power might not really make a big diifference in 1/4 mile times, but it's still a gain...
[smartass]Did anybody ever consider using a nitrous system from a brand other than NOS. Why does everybody only want Nitrous Oxide Systems setups?[/smartass]
Sorry, just one of those things that bugs me. NOS is a brand name, N20 is what you are spraying.

Haha You remind me of my old shop teacher in high school. We would get down graded if we referred to "plastic filler" by saying BONDO! Same stuff easier to say :-)
Really, if you're ordering an orange soda you ask for a coke?
Maybe it's a southern thing, but I rarely ever hear anyone use the word "soda". BTW, Here's some other items that people usually call by a company's name: Jacuzzi instead of Hot Tub, Wead Eater instead of Line Trimmer, Crapper instead of Toilet.
Haha This is hilarious! In Texas, when we tell somebody we want a coke, they ask what kind.
Really?? Wow I had never heard that before! I guess its all good as long as we don't calling all cars "FORDs" just because they brought them to the masses!
