Default Question for aftermarket exhaust owners

What did you do with your OEM exhaust? Is it possible to sell it or just leave it at the shop?

I kept it.

It's in the garage, just in case I sell the car or something...

Stupid question...I'm getting mine install in like 1 hr. Will the OEM set fit in the IS trunk? I assumed it's not too heavy but not sure it will fit since IS trunk is kind of small.

the mufflers and y pipe are all attached and it wieghs a good amount, maybe if u snake the y pipe through the small hole in inbetween the rear seats if not then it may have to go in the back seat. i put mine on at my house took me 20 minutes, my stocker is up is the attic.

I left it at the shop. Its way too big. Is it nomal to have a lot of smoke coming out? I find it pretty loud from interior, i guess i got used to stock sound. But the sound is about the same as G35.

Yes, smoke is normal. It will go away. The sound is loud at first then it will settle down a bit after a few hundred miles. It sure does sound like the G35. And yes your ear will get used to it. Have fun and enjoy the sound. I did.

PS, Go back to the shop and get your exhaust - just in case.

From all the posts I have seen, you get sound only and a weight reduction.....no REAL HP gains to speak of....
