The stock exhaust will not fit in the trunk unless you plan to keep the trunk open while transporting. I had to go back to the shop with my SUV to pick it up. It's now sitting in my garage. I will put it back on in case there is an issue with the car that is related to the exhaust. This way the dealer can't say the cause is the aftermarket exhaust. Yes, Tanabe is lighter than OEM. It had that burnt smell the first week. It's gone now. I love the sound except for that drone around 2500 rpm. If you've been driving stock for a while, yes, it will take some getting used to the sound inside. One last comment, I have a IS250 and Tanabe. When I punch it from a dead stop, the exhaust sounds great but the speed just isn't there compared to a 350. IMO, the performance does not match the sound. Oh well, I still love it.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of droning sound aroud low RPM. Damn that's too loud. Probably the best moment is ignition sound. I love that low tone, it sounded almost like the Z or G35.

Once I bought my Tanabe Tourning Medalion, I took the stock exhaust to my local recylcer, got a few bucks for it, and went to lunch. ;P

I polished and cleaned mine, then used some 12 guage wire and mounted it to the ceiling of the garage. Vroom Vroom!

LOL, that sounds like a good idea but knowing my luck it'll probably fall on a vehicle in the garage.
