Default My GS300 74mm Turbo'd

I just got my car out of the body shop, the new GTE shortblock has 480 miles now, I just crammed in a 74mm turbo, upgraded the valve body on the tranny, the car is running Map ECU with stock computer, its running sweet right now, turbo hits really hard over 4000RPM. I have lots to do still, bumper covers, lower lip kit, tranny cooler, HID's, Methanol, Boost Gauge, Wideband, fix crank seal leak, intstall springs, etc.. lots to do but all the parts are here I just need to fin the time. My goal is to hit 700RWHP on the stock ECU and stock vvti head/cams/intake on the ,map ecu. Oh and I'm only running 440cc injectors too, going to spray lots of meth. I made over 700RWHP with my last Supra and a similar set up.

Can the MAP ECU handle that power with the stock ECU no problem?

I think I'll be ok, the timing advance should be ok as long as I'm spraying methanol / water. The motor (longblock) is 100% stock, I just added some GTS Pistons and Rods, new rings, and clevite brearings. So many people swap the GTE motor in but from watching the is300 guys there really is no need to do it.

Light output is not bad at all, last night I was driving around and was a bit pissed on the low beams however I got home and found I was driving with one headlight. My bodyshop forgot to plug in the drivers side, I didn't even realize it until I took this pic with the lights on today. I like the Angel Eyes, no regrets.

thanks, there is a video here of me beating a newer Mach 1 Mustang that was running 12.1 @ 110 at Speedworld the night I raced him, soonafter this video I cracked a ringland on my stock pistons after turning up the boost to 24 psi on my old T60-1, nearly every ringland was cracked but no damage occured to the block or head.

I'm looking forward to making some nice power with this setup.

So what block is it? Its not a 100% stock long block if you swapped out pistons, rods, rings, etc.

It's not all stock, I bought some used GTE pistons/Rods on Supraforums for $150.00, then bought some Clevite bearings at Titan, and new rings at Toyota. My point was it's not a GTE block, its a stock GE block with GTE pistons and rods.

Thanks. All that is different is the pistons, rods, & rings anyway. So its a stock GE longblock except for some GTE internals.

The blocks are cast different. I dont even think about the oil squirters. I dont consider them a determining factor in a motor build. I think you did it the "right way".
