I have the same question as Chenzo26, why use 75W instead of 80W?
Most of the products I've seen are 75W (synthetic). 75W and 80W differ very slightly.

The first number, with the W next to it (75 vs. 80) is the kinematic viscosity (thickness of the oil). 75W is a little thinner than 80W, which directly correlates to the warm-up time of the oil. It's a linear relationship. The thinner the oil, the faster it can get to operating temperature. The other positive linear correlation is: the higher the kinematic viscosity, the higher the protection. But the difference in viscosity is so minute that you will not be able to find differences between the two without specialized test equipment.

Even if it doesn't fit, you can still insert the pump and use it. Most pump kits come with several lengths of tube to for the bottom to adjust to different depth oil containers. I used one that didn't fit the container and had no trouble.

Did this today.

My experience with using the pump is that they take forever. I attach a hose and a funnel and let gravity do it's work.

Get the Long Life type from AMSoil and you will never need to change it again. 75w 90. Also get the pump from AMSoil, it fits perfectly. I recommend you get the car raised up on a lift and get a long pipe for assistance. It's a PITA if you are just using the Hex, actually I would say nearly impossible to do it with just the Hex. When I did mines, even with the long pipe attached to the end. I can hear it crack, creak, whatever the word is when turning the damn bolt. Also, get 2 washers for the bolts and GL.

for this you will have to remove the differential cover, scrape off the old sealant, and reapply a good bead of RTV sealant and reinstall. Also, be sure to replace the washers on the bolts.

Hadn't had a chance to do this yet but the new fluid goes in at the top of the differential right?

I did my on my 2000 gs300 at 150k, it's the first time I ever done it, and I am glad that I just had differential oil done, it's good for the car and rear wheels or whatever anyways.

It used the mobil 1 gear lubricant,

Went to the dealership yesturday to put on a couple new tires. While I was there I picked up two new differential plug/bolt gaskets/washers b/c I am wanting to change out the fluid within the next week.

My question is this, I bought a bottle of Royal Purple diff. oil last year for my Supra, but ended up having the dealer do the drain and fill. So, now I have an unopened bottle in my garage. I would like to know what everyone's thoughts/experience is with Royal Purple. Is it better than others? Not as good as others?

Thanks in advance!
