I'm singing the praises of this fuel additive!
I live in cold Michigan, where mileage drops off during the winter, performance takes a hit if your fuel system is not clean. I have seen Lucas Oil Products at out Meijer's stores. I bought a bottle of Lucas Fuel Additive. What the heck .. treats 100 gal of gas for 6 bucks... it's worth a try.
I am impressed. 1st off, with about 50 miles of treated gas, the morning start up at 10 degrees outdoor temp, noticed I did not need to nurse the gas pedal for the 1st 10 seconds just to keep it from stalling. I am comparing this with regular use of solvent based fuel line cleaner.
That's just the start. Noticed a definite increase in WOT pull !!!! WOW. My gs400 has 165,000 miles on it, and it felt like when I bought it at 96,000 miles on it. Acceleration seems smoother. This stuff is actually a non-solvent based upper cylinder lubricant, and fuel system cleaner. It states that it actually makes for higher compression by reducing blow-by of the valve seals. I have rebuilt several engines and know that the valve seals get somewhat pitted after normal use and high miles, and compression drops.
I have not done actual mpg verification, but I drive my GS over 10,000 miles per year on company business, and I know that the cold weather mpg has improved by less trips to the robbers, oops, I mean gas station.
I have bought several more bottles. I am going to keep using this, as I am impressed with performance and mileage increase . I assume this also means less engine wear.
And No, I do not work for the company or sell this produst. check out their web site at lucasoil.com.

I've used this product before.. Is the bottle real small and its like 6 bucks.. I've used Lucas products before.. When I had my mustang when doing the oil change i would always add that oil additive from Lucas.. It was a big bottle that looked like petrolleum jelly coming out... I had 150+k miles on the mustang and swear that Lucas really helped the engine... Great product IMO..
