hi everyone, i just got my apexi super-afc installed on my 98 gs300 today. it ran 191.7rwhp dyno with the rmm intake and trd exhaust. it was at 180.4 before with only the rmm intake and trd exhaust. assuming stock would be like 170-175rwhp, that would be a 15to20rwhp increase.

i noticed that from 25-50pulls alot harder than before. i think this is a great mod for the money.

Silver,

Where did you install S-AFC and how much did it cost yah? According to SRT, with their HFI/ECU, you will get 186.2 rwhp. I'm not sure how many horsepower you gain by just the TRD exhausts. But now it's good to know there is an alternative way. I will post some results once I receive and install SRT HFI/ECU on my GS.

After seeing your post, I just read up about this widget. How did you tune the mixture? How do you make sure you don't blow up the engine?

Who installed it?

You can get S-AFC for around $310 shipped from groupbuycenter.com

For more information, just go to www.apexi.com
It's very to adjust the S-AFC. My friends have it on their Prelude, Integra, and etc....list go on.

will I be able to use the S-AFC in conjunction with a SRT intake? The intake has a ECU on it. Will they be able to be used together?

i got installed at area51, they charged me like $300 for the install, tuning and dyno. its a little bit more than what i expected, but the service was great. since i live 10min away, they even gave me a ride home.

racingaristo,
let me know your your dyno when you get the srt.

bitkahuna,
i have no idea how this thing works, , all i know is that my car feels alot faster.

Of course you can use SRT's intake with S-AFC but SRT doesn't sell their intake along. I'm not sure if you can install both SRT ECU with S-AFC at the same time as they serve the same purpose but one is adjustable and the other is not.

i'm talkin to silverGSguy now, it appears he could have had even more power but he asked them to do a consercative tune, so more power is available! plus he is getting the weapon R intake soon like me which will give him even more power, i'll be getting the AFC soon too, sorry Y2KGS, but i dont know what you have but i trust the S-AFC now that its been on a fellow GS300's car, thank you SILVERGSGUY! YOU SAVED ME! I OWE YOu!!!

So do you think I would get optpimal power gains out of the SRT intake and the S-AFC or the SRT intake's whole system? What do you guys suggest?

Hey Sasha,

well the APEXI is a great unit but like I said before. I will let you all in on a secret this SAT. Thats when my ride gets dyno and re tuned. As for the intake, I would say the Weapon R intake is the best given that just the intake itself gives great results. I love it better than Swift and feels much better.
If you want than get the APEXI but if I was you than I would wait untill this Sat. We all waited so long so waiting till this weekend will not kill you. You will also save time and money in the long run.
