I didnt do it to mine but here's how.

All you gotta do is find the two coolent lines going in and out of the Throttle Body.

Use a connector to connect those two lines togeter, and get a plug to plug up the coolant holes on the throttle body.

Here's the diy from bananags's site. Same concept for the GS300

Good Luck with your install. Somebody should make a 4 way valve gate
So with the flip of a switch, it'll guide the coolant to another line and not enter the TB.

i did the bypass on my gs. you have to buy a hose to connect them together because the hoses are not long enough to connect to each other.

DIY: TB bypass on GS300 (2jz-ge)

disclaimer and FIY and what else i feel like saying!!!
it cost me less than 10bucks to do everything, and it would have taken me 30-45mins to complete this mod if i had all the correct parts to begin with... in MY setup i used a 3/8 hose and 3/8 to 3/8 connectors which is a lot hard to connect to the oem hose because of that little 1/16 of a size difference. the correct OEM size is 5/16 so recommend using 5/16 hosing and hose connectors. cheers

i really dont know how much HP i gained by doign this...but i do know that installing new TM spark plugs + collant bypass + cleaning TB made my car feel much better maybe faster?!? when i touched the new bypass hosing after i drove it for maybe 15mins the hose was extremely HOT, i can only imagine how HOT the air was before i did this bypass.

MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS COLD/COOL NOT HOT!!!!! you will loose a lot of coolant and possibly burn yourself if do otherwise

parts:
(1) 5/16 reinforced hoses (approx 14inches)
(2) 5/16 to 5/16 hose connectors
(2-4) hose clamps, depending if you want to use old hose clamps
(2) 5/16 bypass caps
10mm socket
12mm socket
pliers, to remove all the hose clamps.
carb cleaner (o2 sensor safe!!!)

first remove the intake tubing by removing all the things i circled green

once the tubing is off you will see this side of the TB... there is a total of 8 screws that you
need to remove in this pix, this is the top side of the TB:

bottom side: i circled 2 spots where the other 2 bolts are, AND the green circle you'll have to remove the BOLT AND SCREW as well.. to remove the screw just use i believe a 5mm socket for it.

once you remove all the bolts and wire connections, remove the throttle cable by pushing the throttle like accelerating etc (you'll figure it out)... also loosen the mount that adjusts the throttle cables position. to do so loosen the right side only because the left side will adjust the tension... now remove the cable completely off the TB

(before you do this step loosen radiator cap to relieve any pressure in the hoses)
pull the TB towards the pass side a little to give you slack now remove the coolant hose on the front side of the TB first... once u remove it you can physically flip the TB upward and get to the rear one alot easier ... remove the rear one and you should have an engine bay like so...

the red circle to the right mid section is the first hose your should remove, followed by the one thats the furthest left in the pic

now that the TB is off the engine use the bypass caps and cap the TB like so:

since the TB is off teh car you might as well clean it with a little carb cleaner and napkins etc.... heres some bling bling pictures!

now just hook up the new hose and run it in front of the TB then down along hte left side of it...

sorry guys i dont have actual pix of how i ran the hoose, but heres a diagram.... i know the way i ran it is ghetto but i was in a hurry to get my car all back together. i'll eventually make it hidden but for now bite me

finally, just reinstall everything and your done!

well i feel a negligible improvement but more importantly it feels a whole lot less sluggish because of the TB being cleaned. im assuming i will have better MPG because of better spark plugs + cooler air (more dense oxygen) = more combustion from the same amount of fuel

no prob pete i was looking today and i think i can run it the same way the OEM hose ran, but im not sure yet if i do it that way the hose will be on the engine block....the engine block gets extremely hot so i dont know how much heat the hose can handle. maybe i'll wrap it with some hightemp tape that will yield two good effects:
1, protect the hose from hot engine block
2, keep the heat from coolant inside the hose which will negligibly reduce heat in the engine bay.

get some steel braided hose for it. That should add some protection.
