Default Torque specs

Does anyone have, or can someone tell me, the torque specs to all the bolts needed to replace a starter on a GS400?...Intake manifold, throttle body, etc.

this is an old thread but i'm in desperate need for help with the same issue. i'm about to change my starter in my gs400 and would like to know the torque specs of all the bolts that would have to come off (throttle body, manifold, starter, etc.). I know this is a LOT to ask, but it would be very very appreciated. GILLEXUS, if you still have this information, can you please help me? thank you very much.

Let me dig it up again. are you replacing your starter your self? what did the starter cost you? I hear they are pricey but mostly the install. Do you have an e-mail that I can send it to if the file is too big?

i'm planning to tackle the job myself. as for the starter, i'm planning to open it up and see if it's just the contacts that need to be replaced before i buy a new starter. my email is gsquicksilver@yahoo.com.

thanks for your help GILLEXUS. i greatly appreciate it.

Do you want the info. from the service manual on dis-assembling, re-assembling and testing the starter also?? That is about 7-8 pages Or are your having a shop do that??

Here goes the starter in stall info. This section did not give much info on torque specs. It just referred to several different sections for more info. Like "see throttle body section or upper intake section"
If there is any particular section you need from the manual just let me know

GILLEXUS,

thank you so much for the information. it is going to be very helpful when i pull my starter out.

if it isn't too much trouble for you, i was wondering if you could also post step 5 of the starter removal for the removal of the upper and lower intake manifolds assembly. that would awesome. thanks bro.

No Problem GSquicksilver, whem I get home tonight I'll scan those pages. If you can take some pics along the the way of your removeal/nstall I know a few guys were talking about doing this job.
This seems alittle too involved for me but if I'm looking at $900 I may really think about it

These pics are a great help, but I don't see the torque specs for the intake manifold bolts. Also would like to know if the tightening sequence is specified. Thanks
