Default Spark Plugs

Does anyone know what and where can I get some spark plugs for my GS400 that DO NOT requires to GAP them. I got some NGKs last night, I know I am stupid, I broke the tips right off on 3 of them, it seems to me they are impossible to gap correct, because the tips are so thin.

I have torque master plugs are good, any input on them? Do they need to be gapped, and anyone knows where I can get some?

Thanks a lot,

Dillon

The plugs are pre-gapped, so you're not supposed to gap them. That's why you broke the tips. NGK and Denso plugs are pretty good (both are pre-gapped and can be bought from the dealer, you can also check a Toyota dealer because they have them too). Call Steve at Carson Toyota (Torrance California). As for the Torque Masters, some people swear by them and others had problems with them. Here are a couple threads regarding TM plugs:

well, i got my NGK ones off the ebay for cheap, $49 with shipping included. I can tell they are not pre-gapped, are they supposed to be 0.044mm, right?

Thanks

Maybe when the plugs you got from ebay were shipped the gap got messed up, I don't know. I know for a fact that if you buy them from the dealer they come pre-gapped with a plastic protector on them to prevent the gap from being messed up during shipping.

I think you're right about the size of the gap, you can also double check it in your owner's manual.

You said .044mm That can't be right. .044mm is smaller than a piece of human hair......
