gsintensive,

16K is the estimation of what you are going to spend. $7500 is the cost for a '00 engine with less than 6K miles. The rest of the cost is pure fabrication and electric work. Let me remind you that I am going to help you search for the parts from overseas. I am not a mechanic nor do I work for a custom car shop. I only get brownie points for referring you to my mechanic and electrician.

HKSpowerGS4,

You have got to change your pistons! Glad to see you've got your car. I hope your project equals or surpasses your MKIV.

GlobeCLK,

They're on backorder still?

Default interested

gsintensive,

If you are 100% interested please leave an email address and we'll go from there. The numbers I have quoted you is a rough estimate. I am going to help you by calling my sources in Japan and the US. It's up to you to pay for the parts from the supplier directly. The rates with the mechanics and electrical engineer is standard however negotiable. The schedule goes as follows with you running stages 1 and 2.

1) The goal is aiming for a full blown Aristo V300 Conversion with a front mount intercooler (since it will be cheaper to get GReddy than Toyota Stock). There is one little catch... the octane rating in the US is different from the one in Japan. We can install 550cc injectors into the rail and use a HKS Super AFR to fine tune idle. For the first week your car will adjust to the new octane rating. On this baseline method your car will be as robust as a Twin Turbo Supra with more torque and slightly more horspower. Plus with the ceramic turbo spool up is superior to the US Supra. 330 bhp @ 320+ ft/lb.

2) Basic Performance Upgrade: exhaust (just about any system you go for the sound will not be as bad as putting an exhaust system on a naturally aspirated car), boost controller, blow-off valve, ignition upgrade (newly regapped spark plugs), exhaust cam gear and optional downpipe (you car's not going to smell all that hot but lots of power). 410rwhp, no problem. At this point I suggest you get rid of the 20's and opt for 18s (19s if necessary) and upgrade brakes. You don't need AP 6 pistons (however they are nice). 13"in slotted with 4 piston calipers will do nicely. A TRD LSD would be rather nice in this combination. BTW, your torque convertor has to go (unless my mechanics state otherwise).

3) After testing the F-Con S on my car you will have the option to go aftermarket fuel system and removing air sensor (similar to HKS VPC). Now you can have ultimate power by upgrading the turbo to a large single (work in progress for me) or dual independent. Couple that with a 256mm camshaft... HKSpowerGS4 said "the 2JZGTE is good for up to 700 hp on stock internals."

Hyped up?

Changing the engine to the supra sounds good but too much money for me. I just want a turbo kit or the super charger for the car. Does anyone know where I can get a regular turbo kit or the super charger for the 2000 gs300?

Hi Wei:

First let me say it was good meeting you at the Carson meet. You have an awesome car; very much of an attention graber. If you recall at the meet, there was a very clean Turbo install on an IS300, Apex Racing I think. Talking with the owner, he's pushing over 300 hp at the rear wheel! Since the GS300 and IS300 have basically the same motor except for a few minor tweaks, maybe you should check that out!

I know TRD currently makes a supercharger for it's inline six's. Ask Steve is anything will work. Good Luck!

Default any pics?

v300,

Just wondering if you've got any pics?
Also, what did you mean by "your torque convertor has to go "? Is there an upgrade from Japan for the V300 Aristo?

Thanks
