If I buy a 5 speed from a 2002 IS300 will it be a direct swap for a 99 GS300?
Going to buy this trans if it will not be that much work in installation. What do you guys think?????
What you mean? Horror story. I have read some stuff about the Supra 6speed swap, but nothing about the IS300 swap. This guy is selling me the engine for a good price and I can grab the trans for a couple hundred more. I was just wondering would it be hard to install it in the GS.

Are you sure they made 6 speed manual Aristo's in Japan??
I'm quite sure all aristo's are auto only.

well i would tend to believe that the gs300 and is300 has different fuel timing together with other stuff. you brought up a good point that the ecu and the tranny might fit relatively easy, but not sure about the power output
also, yes fit the tranny on the i6, but is the tranny going to be aligned with the location of the gs? i bet not coz' the gs is so much bigger
a friend showed me a website with the aristo transmission, i don't remember if it is a 5 or 6 speed.
let me call my friend and get the website. will post site when get it
