LS swaps are are dependent on many factors. What version of LS, motor mounts, custom work, wire harness, upgrades ETC. You're looking at around $10,000 minimal as a ball park.

I am really interested in what the transmission solution will be for the SRT stage II kit. In my opinion, the trans is the worst part of the 2GS. It shifts so soft and pulls timing on the 1 to 2 shift even with VSC off.

wack and i would rather do a LS swap as it can easily make power than this build without having to spend more money (as you would have to build the tranny eventually)

i had the mounts and was preparing to do one but i couldn't justify removing a perfectly working motor to build a toy that i hoped would work right so i know this is not necessarily true....while yes they are based on a lot of factor your quote is to narrow without any info to even make it feasible.

with a auto LS1/LS2 from a junkyard you can get away for about 4-6k but doing a 6 speed with the motor from a GTO its gonna be about 8-12 but keep in mind this is doing all the labor yourself for both quotes.

Is there a company who builds the GS transmission? I know the IS guys have options. I drove a friend's IS300 turbo with a built engine/transmission a few years ago and the shifting was simply unbelievable. It did make a thunk when you changed gears, but it was instantaneous and running through the gears WOT was like nothing else I had ever driven. The car didn't hesitate or let up for even a split second. Mario Andretti couldn't have matched it with a manual!

Yes! IPT makes brand new, bullet-proof trannys for our cars for $3299. Do do not take yours and rebuild it; from what I understand they are new units from their stock. If god forbid my tranny ever goes I wouldn't pay $2k to rebuild or replace with a junk yard one; i'd spring $2k extra and get this IPT tranny and have it installed!

"SRT piggyback engine management ensures no CEL’s"

I wonder if this will be a black box like the one they include with their intake? If they can make that kind of power with a car that still functions normally on the OEM ECU they have really accomplished something. No tuning needed would be quite the added bonus as well.

Does anybody know how long this kit is going to be for sale for? I hope it is not a "limited production" like how the RMM ones were.

This as a college graduation present for myself, would be the greatest!
