Cool Starter disengage delay on SC400

I just notice that my SC400 have starter disengage delay for about 1 sec after I release my key, because I can hear a little grinding noise on the flywheel. This usually happen if I don't drive for two or three days. If I drive it every day then its normal.

Is it difficult to replace the starter on SC400? or rebuild. Does any one have a procedure?

Thanks

Wow,three days, and no one could answer this one?
Seems hard to get basic info on these forums huh?
Oh well, maybe the starters are just so reliable that they rarely go bad.
Your starter is located under the intake manifold, and is kind of a pain to replace. It took me around three hours of messing around, since I'd never taken these parts off before, and was being careful, and about the same to put it all back together with new intake gaskets. The starter was a couple hundred bucks.
