Default exhaust popping (would a crossover help?)

well I finally got around to getting my exhaust installed... to make a long story short, ended up getting alot of pipe work done- and now I have straight pipes to my magnaflows... (no crossover) when I hit it hard, I get a lot of popping from my exhaust, do you think a crossover would help stop some of that popping? I was thinking about just having a H or X pipe welded in, an ideas?

I believe the popping is caused by an overly rich mixture. A crossover pipe will help a little, but probably won't resolve the problem complletely. Its worth a shot, and the x-over will only help anyway.

Its not the muffler thats popping! But some mufflers might not hide the popping as well as others.

Drop in a resonator and a x-over pipe, that should help.

popping, caused by unburnt gasses in your exhaust system. and when the temperature goes down or the air from the outside hits them it causes them to pop. As you might know... all those cheap muscle F-body camaros all have very very crappy sounding exhaust because all you hear is putt putt pop pop around every corner. It means you need to change your spark plugs. Run a hotter plug and you should be all set.
