Under 45 min to pull the tranny, less than 30 seconds to ...
... realize that my clutch was not broken
And another 45 seconds to drain the tranny fluid and find metal pieces all over the place. Mark me up as another person to verify that the stock 5 speed tranny is pretty well maxed out at 450rwhp. I put 7,000 miles on it with ... what seemed to be ... no problems other than my first aftermarket clutch breaking, but apparently the tranny wasn't as happy as I thought.
I do have pictures, but I am not at my home computer yet. I will post them when I get the chance ... in the meantime, if anyone has a spare 5 speed tranny, please hook me up. I need my daily driver back asap.

Thanks ...
I will not be upgrading at this time, it is just not convenient timing in my life to do so. I will be replacing with another 5 speed manual tranny and then trying to save up pennies to make a big improvement in the future.
I do believe I can make the next one last more than 7,000 miles. I had 120 dyno pulls and 8 track passes on this one, plus countless street races and street tuning, we were really straining it for a long time and I think that if I replace it, there are a lot of things that I won't need to do that push it so hard, if you follow what I mean.

Ocassionally see w58's on Ebay and the parts trader. Would sell mine, but it's still in the car, and has a few worn syncros.. Maybe Tap recycling, or one of the Supra NA / SC300 guys who upgraded, has one available.
