That S/C looks awesome. I'm still wondering if it will work with the US model and what other types of mods need to be done in order to do it properly(injectors, fuel pump, ECU?). This makes the 2nd kit I know of to be available. About time we got some real power.

ive been talkin to him for a while about this. he can send u an email with an attachment that will go into more detail on what you need and how much estimated HP and all that. get him to send u that attachment and it will answer many of your questions. it also comes with a list of things that you can order from them to make your supercharger efficient as possible. seems like a great guy. if anyone gets a S/C kit from him please tell me how it works out.

Nothing like jumping in head first.

Seriously, forward that info along to me as well. I'm not ready to buy yet but I will be in Feb. Gotta wait till the money starts flowing again.

Optional Engine Mods

The most unique thing about forced induction is you can increase power on a standard engine without many modifications to the host engine.

But if you are going to go for hi-boost or searching for optimum performance, well-planned engine mods will improve the overall package.

Every supercharger will be rated by air flow and how much power it can potentially produce in an ideal installation, but when we start with a standard engine and raise its performance objectives by increasing the boost you need to match key engine and drive train components to suit.

While the modifications mentioned above are recommended for the 12-psi package and will work adequately to produce 420 HP the following modifications are required to lift the power expectations above that, boost alone will not do it.

Proposed Engine Mods and accessories to achieve 500hp and greater.

- Performance Camshafts (exchange)
420+hp AUS $ 850 + GST
550+hp AUS $2,250 + GST

- Throttle body & intake
85mm single throttle body AUS $ 650 + GST

- Flowed and ported heads
420+hp AUS $1,100 + GST
550+hp AUS $2,250 + GST

- Low comp pistons
9:1 TBA
8:1 TBA

- Adjustable Timing Gears (Exchange) TBA

- Transmission mods TBA

NOTE: 1hp = .75kw

FAT is not a complete kit. You will have to design and complete your own from the parts offered. Lots of R&D on your own will be required. As well as knowledge of what is required to put it together.

sounds to me as if, potential for a blown engine if left to the novice and or a big hole in your pocket book. I think any good engineering company of any product should have pre-configured packages that have been tested and proven with operating parameters so that you know what tha hell you're gettin' from the onset.

Thats why I'm eagerly awaiting Altstadt's SC kit, as it will be a tested and tuned package built on a US SC400. There should be little to no worries as it will have the bugs worked out before he markets it.

These other kits are DIY pieces from cars w/ different emissions, ecu, etc. and you have to tweak things yourself. Thats great if you have a speed shop to do all the work, but its a whole nother' ball game when everything is coming halfway around the world from a car that has a different computer and you have to piece it all together yourself.

So, as far as I'm concerened, there are no US designed S/C kits available at this time. There are S/C pieces that can be assembeled to work, but they haven't been tested on a US spec car. Nor are they being sold as a bolt on "kit".

Just my thoughts on the topic. So flame away, as I'm curious as to how others feel.

Keith, I am with you on this one. Might as well get a one-off if you are going to purchase the AUS kit and guesstimate what is needed. I anxiously await Ryan's kit. Hurry and get your credentials man. We need to talk

Gents:

SOON...VERY SOON... Final product issues are being tweaked. Website is in design stage, PRODUCTS (Plural) will be listed and explained, and just before release- CL approval will be applied and approved.

We've all waited this long, just a little while longer...
