S2000 Seats install (On-Going)
I bought some TAN S2000 seats for a really good price and plan to install it in my SC . I am replacing an older bride seat. It is tough to drive long distance in a fixed bucket...S2K can recline a little bit which helps.
The front two holes are not spot on. The S2K front holes are wider and as SF thread state, you can even ream it out and bend the bracket slightly to make it fit for the front.
The rear holes are no where close to the SC. Luckily I did not throw away my stock SC bracket and is likely going to use it.
At this point, I plan to cut the bracket off the SC and weld it onto the S2K rail. I only have a Tig so this might be tough. Any suggestion is always welcome.
Anyhow, just threw the seats in the car to see how it looks. More progress coming....hopefully.

To remove the bracket, drill out the metal rivet and the spot weld.

I welded the back right bracket to a 3/8 steel and bolted onto the stock s2k rails. I think this is more secure than just welding the sc bracket to the s2k rails.

That looks really sketchy at first. After thinking about it, after market seat brackets aren't that far off from the design you made. Does the seat sit at a crooked angle with your design?
I wonder if there is clearance to use square tubing as a spacer to eliminate the oem bracket completely. You could use one long bolt to go through the s2k seat into the square tube, then directly into the chassis with a reinforcement/nut plate underneath the car.

I would also recommend installing end caps on the square tube, so you can drill through it in order to keep the bolt aligned and centered on the tube. The reinforcement/nut plate is commonly used as an anchoring point for harnesses, so it should be strong enough for the seats.
