Exclamation $7k + 92sc3 = Dunno Wa 2 Do

Hey everyone, well heres my dilema. I spent the last 3 months saving up and i finally got 7K. I wanna turbo my car. It has about 90k on the speedometer, and pretty good condition. The good news is i live literally 2 &1/2 minutes away from sound performance. However, i don't know whether i want to turbo the NA or save some more $ and swap the engine to a GTE. I want it to be a daily driver, but i also want it to kill the competition. What should i do?? Can anyone with experience help me?? Your opinions will help make my decision onto what direction to take. Thank you

I think you mean odometer not speedometer up there, hehe. I'd do the NA-T with the 7k you have. I'm not exactly sure what SP charges but im sure you would be happy with the NA-T setup. The GTE swap or at least mine is ending up being more than 7k.

I'm sure Larry can get you into a good basic turbo kit for $7k.

SoarerT,
You should come out to SP this Saturday for the Supra dyno day. I'll introduce you to Larry, and he can give you any info on an NA-T kit personally. I'll be dynoing my SC300, so you can check out my car, I've swapped the GTE motor into my car.

In my opinion, I would go NA-T. It's going to be more cost effective, and you'll net more power in the near term. The NA block is plenty stout enough to handle some big numbers.

Check the Chicago section on this board to get details on the dyno day.

By the way, I just bought a house over in Bloomingdale so I'm sure I'll see you around.

Chris
