I need some help from the 1JZ gods.

What exactly is this? It's some sort of vacuum solenoid or thingy. What does it do? Mine has never been connected to anything vacuum related and it ran absolutely fine. It was found directly under my lower intake manifold. Has a number 90910-12108 stamped onto it. It looks like an important little guy but I can't figure out what it did and if I need it anymore.

Thanks. That's the best I could find too. Besides a bunch of Russian sites that I couldn't read. No 1JZ guys know what it does? I never had it connected to anything as far as I know so I have no idea what role it may have played. Fuel dampener related? I never used mine.

No EGR on 1JZs.

Does the fuel dampener use any vacuum input?
