Default CV axles left and right

I have looked for an hour through all of the old threads and can't find an answer to this. Is there really a difference between the drivers and passenger side cv axles? The part numbers are different, but just wondering what the difference is, if there is a difference. Anyone know the answer to this?

They have different lengths depending on the side.
Can't remember which side is the short one.

Throw this up for comparison
