I call up the dealership to order the part, what do you know, they suddenly say the price is 220... Aftermarket it is

They might have thought you meant the engine fan, and not the engine fan clutch the first time around.

I figured they must have misheard me, though I thought I heard him repeat "clutch". Toyota and Lexus technically call it a fluid coupling, which parts man definitely said today. Can hardly fault them, mistakes happen, especially over phone. Still a disturbing price, in my opinion.
