quick mass airflow sensor question....
i have a 95 5 speed sc, and i was thinking about the mass airflow sensor mod on our cars, gettin the ones from the sc400/ls400. i was curious if the mass airflow sensor for a 1995-1997 ls400 or one for a 1997 sc400 would work. i am pretty sure they will fit, but i want to be positive. also will i need safc for tuning or will it be fine without one?
thanks
Hamid

hamid,
95-97 LS400 or 96-97 SC400 use Mass Air Flow sensor while your 95 SC is using Karman Vortex Air Flow Meter. They are two different sensors/meters.
94-91 LS400 and 92-95 SC used Karman Vortex Air Flow Meter, where SC400's is bigger in size than SC300's.

V-8 AFM and SC300 AFM
The only different between V-8 AFM it have a bigger bypass(the air will not be measure by the sensor) and it is allow you to adjust the amount of air bypass the AFM. Result would increase HP. If you don't do it right, result will be high RPM idel.
