1jz auto swap in sc300
so i was in the process of reading up on info before i do a turbo setup.
and i wanted to keep my car automatic. so i read around and it seems the toyota soarer auto trans is the exact same as the auto on 2jz ge sc300.
aside from the clutch packs of course and higher torque holding capability
i managed to score a 1jz auto trans for free. so i might as well use it if i can
but i am curious about the fitment, i know the bellhousing will bolt on. but im curious about the torque converter, will that bolt up to an sc300 flex plate?
anybody with a 1jz auto trans swap around here that could chime in?

wow, so much detail on why it wont fit, thank you for sharing your genious and experience, it is much appreciated.....
in the post i said, "WILL A 1JZ TRANS FIT A 2JZ" , not the other way around.
and why wont it fit? do you know?
its the same trans with the same connectors, and same output shaft.
my only worries are the bellhousing torque converter and flex plate.
the only thing i dont have from the 1jz is the flexplate. and either way, i have the bellhousing, tc, and flexplate of the 2j, but then i have no idea if the input shaft are the same.
so someone who has done this install/swap please chime in
and for the love of god, say why
