Extra long double box end wrenches are perfect for situations like this. This is easily one of the most useful wrenches I have ever used.

^ I can imagine so many instances where that would be a life (and knuckle) saver! Little 10mm wrenches often provide inadequate leverage.

Nice, I think I am going to order one of those for myself can see how that would be handy to have in 10 and 12mm sizes.

I have an old torque wrench handle from a broken torque wrench I took apart that I use as a slip on cheater bar, since one side is round and one side is oval, the oval side I can slip over the small box wrenches and the round side I can slip over ratchets or my long breaker bar if it comes down to that. comes in handy for breaking those bolts loose in tight areas but that long box wrench above is looking really nice actually

Just want to chime in about how important these torque values are.

I must have taken this fan off and put it on a million times, but the last time I overtightened one of the nuts, so now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to get it off, while the nut spins freely on the bolt without moving up or down.

never seen that one before, I can't remember if those studs can be backed out, but yeah that is no good at all.
If the stud backs out then thread on 2 more nuts and use the second one to back out the stud... but I dont think those back out.

I'll be undertaking this pretty soon, so.... question: do I need to go ahead and do the water pump as well, since I'm already doing the fan clutch? I've heard not changing these at the same time can cause one or both to fail at a quickened rate. And for someone like myself that's handy, albeit has a somewhat limited amount of wrench time, are either or both of these worthwhile endeavors to do on your own?

do waterpump with timing belt, never heard of doing it with the fan clutch.
