1jz 1jzgte 1jz-gte ecu differences?
Are the regular 1jzgte non-vvti compared to 1jzgte w/vvt-i completely different as far as the ecu? I have a 1997 Toyota Chaser 1jz-gte vvt-i engine from Japan. This particular engine will be swapped over into my Lexus Sc300. Trouble is finding the vvt-i diagram. I could get a hold of the non-vvt-i diagram easily, but i'm not sure whether I can use that diagram. The engine harness is uncut by the way. Some people have told me that the only trouble is cross-referencing the interface(speedometer gagget) inside the sc. They said to me that the uncut harness plugs directly into the 1jz ecu box, and that I wouldn't have to worry about cross-referencing that part. Is that true? So my question is would the interface part for the speedometer gagget inside the sc work with the 1jz non-vvti diagram? Please help..
