What experience do you have with fuel pump failures?

QUESTION: For those who have had their fuel pump fail: How many miles on your car when the fuel pump in the gas tank failed?

Did the sensor go bad or the fuel pump itself!

What was the cost to replace?

Not much just get a new fuel pump and plug it up could be a good weekend project

I feel the pump usually only goes bad if the cars sits and has some crap old fuel or rust running through it, usually stock fuel pump on the 300 can make it to 200k. SC400 I have heard goes out a little lower mileage but thats just what I heard

My orig. went out at 153,000 miles, on 93 sc400.

230k miles on the original. Removed it to go bigger.

Usually when the fuel pump goes bad, you have no fuel pressure so it won't even start.

The Fuel ECU seems more likely to die on these cars. Mine died a loooong time ago already.
