Go Figure!
I get the car back together, she's running good for couple weeks. Get out to the track for some baseline... 13.4@112 first time down the track. Not bad for .6 bar. Second run---flat tire at the line. Damn. Runs 13.9@110 with a flat tire. Pack it up for the week.
Next week get some sticky 285 Kumho MXs for the back, ready for street action. Get out the 116 octane, dial in around 1.1 - 1.2 bar. Clutch disc unravels on me. Would be nice if the planets were all in alignment for once.

It sure is amusing. The zit faced DSMs blow by me off the line, snicker phrases like "thats the laziest herd of 600 horses I've ever seen" It never ends. Telling them it does around 450 at the wheels on 13 pounds of boost on pump gas does raise an eyebrow every now an then, as does the T60-1. Apparently that would be the godzilla of turbos for a DSM.

You never liked that clutch anyway...
As for the DSM's, since you seem to be extra-disturbed by them lately, just remember that you've got four digit hp potential, by then that little Talon will have crank-walked itself all the way to Texas. Got a guy here who claims to have a ten sec setup in his diamond star for a good amount less money than I paid for my car to begin with, it's just a whole nuther ballpark with those guys, but what would you rather have sitting in your driveway? The best part about the real quick AWD DSM's is the 'grasshopper action' , they just leapfrog after sidesteppin' that clutch, you just can't f#ck with them out of the hole, but like you've said just sink that hook deep and reel 'em in upstairs....
