Default How hard is 2 find 3:76 LSD

reading up on another old thread here

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...my-swap-2.html

found some great answers that were causing me to loose sleep

I guess my wishful thinking is to have an open market with upgrades for the SC 400, such as what I had with my 04 Terminator.

NOT! but hey no despair here I guess if it was as easy as modifying a domestic I will be bored quickly.
Kind of wishing I could just order one up from the many mustang vendors ..
so it seems that the best answer to my sleepless thoughts is to find a 3:76 LSD Torsen for Sheila.
that will be the B02B on Supras

By now I guess they are hard to find or hard to rebuild.

New ones are in mid $1500 to $2,000. If one could be found in a Junkyard there will be no guarantee is the real thing since Supras have been modified a long time.
So for now I will clean up old 3:92
What are the best source for this item reasonably priced?
The Govt has paid me for the past 4 hrs to search

Default Just keep looking on the classifieds here

that's where I found mine (TT auto Torsen). I didn't give what you listed, so be patient. They are regularly coming up on there, so when you get ready to spend the cash, there will most likely be one to be had.

LEXLUIS, your best bet is to constantly check the SC300/400 classifieds here and the Supraforums classifieds. TT Auto Torsens are rare and in demand and they tend to go very quickly. Be prepared to jump on the opportunity FAST and to drive a bit if necessary with cash in hand. They are usually about $900-$1200 unless the going prices have changed. I think these have been long discontinued from Toyota so used is your only bet.

Do note that for 1997 and 1998 model year Supras on TT Automatics the LSD was optional and there are some of these 3.76 TT Auto diffs in circulation that are "open" type just like ours. Since all 1993-1998 diff carriers on TT Auto Supras are identical and Torsens act like open differentials when not under load it is common practice for the seller to open the TT Auto diff pumpkin they have and visually show that there is a Torsen LSD in there.

Check craigslist at all times! I just bought a brand new one on there for a steal. Just be ready to jump on it as soon as you see it.
