Default 92 corner lights to 97 fog

So I was in the group buy for the polyutherene ac bumper and now I need some new fog lights. Found some at a pick n pull. How do i install them. Would I be able to just cut the corner lights wires and twist it together/ solder it with the fog wires. THANKS.

cornering lights do not function the same way as the 97 fog lights. You would need to rewire your 97 fog lights to function as fog lights

No I had them wired on with the parking lights. So they work not only when you turn lol. Just wondering about the 97 fogs since they are different. When I opened the tab thing its not the same plugin like the 92. Do I just need to wire the fogs in place of the corner?

LexiiBabe,

Unfortunately as Gerrb mentioned you do not have a fog light harness in your car from the factory if you have a 1992-1994 SC. 1995-2000 SC's do. I had the same dilemma with my 1993 when I swapped a 97+ bumper and fog lamps on.

You'll need to create your own fog light wiring harness using this guide:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...og-lights.html

It's very similar in practice to many "universal fog light harness" guides you'll find on Google. O.L.T. walks us through and shows the correct wire pinouts to use on SC's to make things easier.

You'll want a switch to turn them on and off. Here's a guide for that:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...og-lights.html

And here is a thread with the 97 fog connectors and electrodes and the part numbers for both:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...ou-do-now.html

Quote from thread on re-using your original cornering light electrodes if you wish to (snip them off with a few inches of lead end to work with, remove them from the original cornering light connectors and insert them into your 97 fog light connectors, then solder the wires onto your custom harness connections):
