Default Advice on removing r154 output shaft oil seal

After 100 miles of a fresh DM rebuild of my R154, the MC Eco output seal is leaking.

I cannot remove that seal for the life of me. I really do not want to buy the $150 dollar toyota SST just to pull one seal.

Any advice and suggestion on what tools to use in order to effectively and safely removing the oil seal would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, how to you remove the dust deflector/dust shield on the tailhousing?

The dust deflector cup slides off with a good grip. I used the rubber strap style oil filter removal tool to help but it didn't help a whole lot.

The seal itself comes out with a micro flathead screwdriver. Don't worry about screwing the seal up. You're replacing it anyway.
