95 SC300 Manual ECU Options
Hi everyone, I have a situation with my car and I'd like to get my 2JZGE ECU repaired with new capacitors. What vendors provide this service?
Also, if I want to use a temporary ECU, what are my options? I think that all 92-96 ECU's are mostly identical correct? Can I use an auto SC300 ECU temporarily, while my manual unit is being repaired? I feel that there are x10 the amount of auto ECU's on the market.
Thanks for checking out my post.

Tanin fixed my Aristo ECU and does great work. My ECU they fixed shows possible signs of other problems remain but the caps were replaced. I have yet to give him a call but I have heard he stands behind his work. I have read that some other vendors do more than caps but I have yet to verify this. There is also LScowboy who did that big post about ECU's and seems to have great knowledge. Driftmotion also does them. I may call all three to compare what they do because I have 2 more ECU's to rebuild.

for sc300 that are 92-95 a 92-95 ecu should start the car and run.
auto ecu's can work on manual but may need to wire up something to get it to start or push in clutch might work if your car is originally manual.
96 has a different maf wont work.
you can identify what year model an ecu came out of by its part number. you can even tell if its an original or a factory remanufactured part by one of the numbers, maybe it was the last one.

So you're basically saying that I should probably stick with a 92-95 manual SC ECU to make my life easier until my existing ECU is repaired. Got it
I think I'll contact a few vendors and find out pricing information and turnaround. It might just be worth it to be patient and not drive the car. It's not my daily, so it's not a big deal. However, I just bought new tires and I'm not trying to get flat spots if the car sits for more than a month due to ECU repairs.
