How big is the piping they're going to use?

Congrats and enjoy!

I know the feeling. I went to a local street rod shop and the guy said it was the first one he had worked on too. But, he was confident so that helped. I figured the guy has done 100's of exhausts so this one can't be too different.

The larger piping won't really help you now if that's your only mod but if you go wtih some big HP mods you'll need it.

Be cautious of using chambered mufflers.

A lot of Flowmaster folks like to bash the Dynomax guys, but since Flowmaster does not make a non-chambered muffler, I 'd have to reccomend the Dynomax Ultra Flows. Plus its construction is a lot better than the chambered Dynomax and Flowmaster units. Also, IMO it sounds better too - alot smoother.

Just something to think about.
