Default Intake Air Temperature Sensor Code

Ok, to recap my 92 sc300 was feeling extremely sluggish, gets bad gas milage and has a completely different exhaust sound than it did a week ago. 2 weeks ago i installed a apexi n1 single 3" exhaust off a supra (which used to sound awsome last week). After the install, it gained 10hp, but now i'm probably down 25hp with a really weak jumpy powerband.

Today i found out about the pin test which i ran and the #8 code came up over and over. The #8 code is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor Signal. What is that? Where is that? I'm going to go try and reset the ecu now and hope for something. How can it change the exhaust note so dramatically. Thanx.
