Default 1992 SC300 TRAC question

Im new to the Lexus world and so far loving it. Just a little concerned about the TRAC light. On my car it stays on. If I push my TRAC button on my consol a light in the corner says TRAC Off. I thought the TRAC light being on meant the TRAC was working, but a few questions spoke of the TRAC light being on indicated a problem. Can someone enlighten me on this. I did not receive a manual w/ car. Still looking for one. Thanks.

your owners manual will tell you what this means...let us know if you don't have the manual
