It's easier for your welder to weld and since they drop into the intake a little its cleaner and the sensors don't stick out as much. I drilled the holes on mine and those sit on the hole and then the welder welds them. the other kind they would have to hold or just stick on top its not as nice on an intake.

see how they aren't too tall on mine, it helps alot for the lines on the back for the brake boost if you put them there.

Question Ali...

Why did you go with a SC400 iacv and not your existing iacv?

The sc400, 2jzgte, 7mgte ones are self contained units which is why I had to get one of those. All have the same connector.

Our stock ones are split in half, the top half you can unbolt, the bottom half is part of the stock throttle body. Some people have recreated the bottom ha;f out of aluminum and welded that on and used the GE IACV, but no one sells that and In my experience its easier to get the 2jzgte weld on flange thats available and use a sc400 IACV which is inexpensive. the 2jzgte one is pretty expensive but both work the same.

I took it to a local aluminum welding/machine shop. most welding places do only steel so you have to look around/call around your area for someone who can do aluminum. It took me a little while to find a place but its worth it to know someone that can weld aluminum its not easy.

I plan on buying the RMR throttlebody, but I am not sure what rotation tps adapter I should purchase (ccw, cw or does it matter)?

I got this one:

RMR-107-ASSY-CCW+A

82.5mm Throttle Body - CCW Rotation Incl. TPS Adapter

I was told to get the Supra unit because it would be easier to sell if I ever wanted to. I am running a standalone now, that may be why this one was suggested for me.

So the "supra unit" would bolt up to an SC300 lower runner?

hes talking about supra unit version of the throttle body, its the same throttle body it just turns a different way so you would need to use the supra tps and flip yuor tps wires.

Looks right, the side your hand is on goes to the intake, the side with the black rubber washer goes to the iacv.
don't forget the 2 bolt gasket between IACV and the flange.
