Default Knock Sensor Wire Harness

Ok so I've been getting code 52 & 55 on my 92 SC400 for the past week now. I've replaced both sensors and reset the ECU but the code comes right back after a minute of driving. I'm thinking it's the harness now as they do look old. My question is does anyone know where i could find the harness. I've called my local Lexus dealership and they told me i couldn't buy the part but i could bring my car in and they could replace but that's not an option as they are asking way to much.

It's really retarding timing 100% now

Get two new male/frmale connector that would fit into the knock sensors and wire it to the old knock sensor wires

okay Durvelle..... I have this exact same freaking problem......... I need a solution to this damn thing too..... So SOMEONE, help us out..... I'm sick of driving my damn car with the engine retarded, and in the winter it really sucks because it disables the traction control..

Tell us the parts we need to buy.... and if anyone knows how to recreate a new harness for this... let us know.

I would seriously consider paying someone to recreate a new knock sensor harness just so I can plug & play that bastard in my faulty one.

Durvelle,

He (unknown101) has an SC300, which has no subharness..... Both you an I own the SC400, which does have the subharness.....
Unknown101, you're kinda adding to the confusion, honestly. Giving bad advise.

Durvelle, this is what you are looking to recreate, (It's a discontinued Lexus part)

It says it's in stock. What website is that.

It also says it's for the LS400, so you would want to cross-check part numbers to make sure they're compatible.

I already purchased this harness pictured, unfortunately after 3 days I received an email from the website that said it was no longer available, and my money was refunded. (Same news as the dealer)

I guess the question is, what are the connector parts for this harness. I spoke to a gentleman at wiringspecialties.com on the phone on Saturday who said they have no 1jz knock sensor harnesses available, but if I can find out the part #'s for each of the connectors, they do stock the connectors themselves.

I took it a step further, and contacted O.T.L. (dude has a spare Lexus in his attic??) & he should have all that information (possibly) He's yet to message me back. So that's where things stand for me. I'm waiting to find out part #'s for the connectors, at that point I think I know a shop locally who will be able to recreate the wiring harness and install it for me.

We just need someone with knowledge to confirm connector #'s at this point since the harness itself is discontinued from Lexus....

I hope this helps.

Check with Drift Motion. I've had the best luck finding random connectors through them, and they may be able to locate stuff not listed on the website.
