Default What oil to cool the radiator

I have a 1997 SC400. The radiator has oil cooling reservoir at the bottom. What oil does it use and where to fill it up?

Thank you,
Net

Do you mean integral transmission cooler?

The factory service manual shows using dexron II / ATF or equivalent trans/gear fluid.

That will be your Auto Transmission Fluid being cooled. It flows from the tranny to that oil cooler via two hard lines if still stock. You check fluid level though the Tranny Fluid dipstick.

The best for me is use Toyota ATF Type IV transmission fluid for your Toyota/Lexus transmissions.
