Unhappy Don't know what to do?

Drriving home last night, my 1993 lexus sc400 suddenly stops, it just wouldn't turn over, so I push it into a parking lot, check evrything, coolant battery etc. everything looks ok, but nothing just wouldn't turn over. Had it towed home, tried it this morning and it started ok, so any thoughts on what happened I'm afraid to go anywhere and have it happen again? I just had it tuned up, put in new battery and cables, and new alternator, it's been running good up to last night. The tow driver said it could be the fuel but all I use is to grade so I don't know what to do?

next time it happens, try the 12 volt fuel mod. just put a paper clip on the connector and see if it happens. only reason why cars wont start is fuel, compression, spark or air. hard to believe it would be a crank sensor or distributor since its running now. if those go out, they normally don't get better if you let them sit.
those are just guesses though. but this should be under performance/maintenance section.

idk if this is a problem to the ignition block but i've noticed a few SC400s not starting with no issues including mine. it seems that the key just stops working.

is the starter running for you when you turn the key or is it just not cranking? or is it silent? cz the problem i had was the starter just not turning on, so i had to jump the relay in the engine bay to start the car.

sizzrhand , welcome to Clublexus !

As OldManTan ask , when you tried starting the car , do you even hear the starter or is it cranking ? Let us know so we can further help you. There can be a lot of reasons for what you are experiencing.

Also there is this thread that can help you answer some of your questions about your SC in the future so check it out.

Good Luck and once again welcome !
