Default Happy New Year well maybe not

Driving my 93 SC 400 yesterday and it just quites in the middle of the road. Just stops running. I'm pretty sure it has somehting to do with fuel. I can't hear the fuel pump running. Can they quit in the middle of running. Thought they normally gave out on start up. Checked the 30amp fuse but it was good. Don't know how to tell if the relay is bad. can someone tell me how to bypass relay to see if that's the problem?

TIA

was it a quick die or a sputter then died. normally a quick everything shut off death is electrical related. alot of times battery post clamps loose and shifted not making good contact.

Might benefit to check the coils and battery terminals/grounds.

update: It was the fuel pump. decided to go ahead and have thr starter replaced while it was in. Looks like a new timing belt later this month.

Why did they not combine starter and timing belt/water pump job?

They suggested it. I needed the car back for some work related travel. It was my call.

Ali, I paid about $1000 for parts and labor on fuel pump and starter. Thing is my mechanic is very good and understands my love for the car. He does first class work and takes pride in his results.
